Volunteer Opportunities

YMCAs are one of the nation's leading volunteer organizations.  More than 450 individuals volunteer their time and talent to the Tri-Town YMCA.

When you are a volunteer at the YMCA, you are a part of a not for-profit organization dedicated to building strong kids, strong families and strong communities through programs that develop spirit, mind and body.  At the YMCA, your time and talent can go a long way to help a child, mentor a teen or provide support for families.

Our Board of Directors help the Tri-Town YMCA leadership serve the community.  Volunteer coaches and counselors ensure YMCA programs like flag football, day camp, and teen leader clubs incorporate character development, self-esteem building sportsmanship and, of course, fun.  Tri-Town YMCA volunteers range in age 11 to over 80 and are students, doctors, lawyers, firefighters, accountants, teachers and everyday people just like you.

Examples of Volunteer Opportunities Include:

Mentor or tutor a child

Make morning calls to home bound seniors

Teach computer skills

Coordinate a group project

Deliver library books to home bound seniors

Coach YMCA Flag Football

Serve as a special event committee member

Assist with an activity during a Family Night Celebration
